Committees

Representatives of GFaI participate in the technical committee "Angewandte Informatik in der Fügetechnik" (applied computer science in the field of joining technologies) that regularly holds a meeting at GFaI.

The Arbeitskreis "Quantitative Gefügeanalyse" (study group for quantitative microstructural analysis) is headed by an employee of the GFaI and has been around for several decades. It belongs to the technical committee "materialography" of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde e.V. (DGM), which is the largest technical science association for materials science and materials engineering in Europe.
