The GFaI is a non-profit research association.
More than 90 employees work on scientific projects,
R&D tasks and services.
GFaI is engaged in the promotion and advancement of
R&D in applied computer sciences and organizes the
industrial joint research (program of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology) in this field within the scope
of the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft industrieller Forschungsvereinigungen 'Otto von Guericke' e. V. (AiF)".
Approximately 100 companies and organizations al well as 100 people are member of the GFaI.
The GFaI has numerous successful co-operations and is
associated institute of the "Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin" (University of Applied Sciences) and of
the "Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin" (University of Applied Sciences).
